Well done!! I love running in the rain too. Something strangely exhilarating about it.Keep going - you are smashing it πͺ
Thank you didnβt think I would get this far but I am really enjoying it
I am a of a certain age so get very hot π₯΅ lol so the rain keeps me cool and as a Scots lass originally the rain is something you get used to lol xxxx
Hi Mck8. I started on April 30th. Overweight & premenopausal and like you I really didn't think I would do this. It took me longer than the 9 weeks and during those last few runs it was just grit and determination that got me through. Running really is as much a mental challenge as it is physical. Like you I get really hot so the rain is often a godsend. Your comment amused me. We are starting the long drive up to Scotland tomorrow for a two week tour. I don't want too much rain lol. Xxx
Oh I am so jealous wish I was off to Scotland π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ did it a few years ago in a caravan round the highlands it was amazing Glencoe & Applecross my favourite parts even in the rain itβs beautiful hope you have a wonderful time
I am determined to do this. I started this to help with my mental health and the menopause and I can tell itβs helping each week I feel so pleased with myself.
P.s make sure you take insect repellent lol. If going to the highlands the midges love tourists ππ
You did great > I am looking forward to running in the rain, I have run in the lightest of drizzles.
Well done you love running in the rain ! Itβs very windy here this morning so running into a head wind and up hill has proper done me in but you just keep going, congrats on your achievement πββοΈπππ»ββοΈπββοΈ
Wakes you up, keeps you cool, rain is wonderful (apart from January and February π€£). Great job on week 4, enjoy the wonderful week 5.
π€£π€£π€£π€£ winter that will be π± thank you just hope I can do the last run in week 5 π€π€π€π€
You can do that run... shortest one of the week as it happens. Slow and steady, especially in the first half and youβll get it.
I actually started this in March and those fresh frosty mornings running were so wonderful quite looking forward to them. Menopausal tell me about it sometimes Iβm so hot I think I might combust π but saves on the heating π€£π
*raises hand* also menopausal. I can't run at all in any kind of heat/humidity so rain is good for me too... although this will be the third wet Parkrun in a row.
I'm developing an affection for the rain. Strange when your brain say How refreshing instead of Oh NO! It's raining.
