Advice from the ladies please. I wear Nike leggings when I do my run but I think they are a tiny bit tight and are giving me tummy ache. I do have the next size up but my fat belly pushes them down when I run so I’m forever pulling them up!!! Can anybody recommend some other leggings?

A high waisted style helps, Fabletics have a good choice. 😊🏃‍♀️😊🏃‍♀️😊

If you want lovely leggings it’s got to be Tikiboo expensive but lovely I have been bought a couple of pairs as gifts from my daughters

I have some high waisted leggings from Decathlon, but I can’t run in leggings at the moment as it’s too warm! High waisted Lycra shorts from Amazon seem to stay up just fine.

Christ I wouldnt dare where shorts at my size. I will check out decathlon though 👍🏻

I've got Decathlon leggings and some Capri pants. Very comfortable, pockets, cheap so I'm very happy with them. Unlike their built in bra running vest which you'd need to be an athlete or a rocket scientist to work out how to put it on lol

Sturdy by Design, also I size up, I'm medium but buy large. Love them but they are addictive!

I’ve suffered from the same problem and put it down to being an “unstandard” shape! I bought a couple of pairs from Contra (with a backward N) ,which have a tie cord and this seems to have solved the problem. I’m struggling to copy the link but you can get to it through the parkrun site . Good luck!

I like the look of the grey leopard. Are they high waisted? Above the belly button?

totalbeginner profile image
totalbeginnerGraduate

the ones I have are probably around the belly button. the photos are pretty good. if you are unsure about the fit email them, they have great customer service and I emailed about the children's sizes and they got back to me really quick. the fabric is really soft the website describes as buttery soft and they really are . here are my rainbows

I've found Matalan pretty good for staying up (was size 20, now size 16)

I recently bought some shorts from Amazon and the brand is Joyspels. They do leggings as well as shorts. True to size and lovely soft but supportive fabric. I’d recommend them. amazon.co.uk/dp/B07VH31JLW/...

I got hot wearing leggings so bought a pair of capri leggings from sportdirect. Great support stay up with cord waist adjustment only 11.99. If I had a gribe there is no side pocket for phone.

M&S have great leggings for £25 with a phone pocket on the leg and zip pocket for keys on the lower back area!

My fav plain black are from George at asda ( the mesh calf ones ) and for patterns it’s Tikiboo - neither budge when running and I have a c section belly 🤣🤣

I like Born Nouli leggings - they have a good sized pocket on each leg, and the 7/8 length is the perfect full length for my 5ft 2" height

I always wear BAM leggings. If you wait until they have a sale on the prices are a bit more sensible. The best thing about them is the fabric, it's so soft and breathable. I would never go back to man made fabrics again. They do loads of high waisted leggings and I've never had a problem with them staying up.

I really like my apexgray leggings. Very good quality for the price from a small "ethical" UK company. I'm fairly thin, but I'm sure they could advise you on fit.

In warm weather I prefer wearing loose very thin jogging bottoms, I have some I bought from H&M years ago.

Hi Sam. I wear Ronhill because if you get the right ones they have a phone pocket in the leg as well as the zip at the back for keys. I couldn’t get on with an arm band. I find them really comfortable. I have some thin ones and thicker ones for winter. Purchased from Wiggle. Good luck with your search.

I love my Sweaty Betty high waisted 3/4 leggings. They also have a couple of pockets, one of which I use for my phone, and they still stay up. Plus very comfortable to run in.

Thanks. I only going off your name but have you got any recommendations for sports bras too?

BoobzMcGee profile image
BoobzMcGeeGraduate in reply to SamNotSammy

Lol. I favour my Freya sports bras. I’m an F cup and I find them supportive and comfortable to run in. Slight bounce, but I can live with that. I think the style number is AA4891STEXx

Thanks I’m the same cup size so will have a look. Currently wearing a ms one but I think it might be a touch small.

I’d agree with decathlon suggestion. Useful pockets and drawstring

Bit late to the party, but I have a couple of pairs of these leggings from Amazon: amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00...

They’re compression leggings, which gently hold everything in place (I found my bum was hurting when I ran from the bouncing up and down!). I’m a size 16 and bought L. On the model they’re below belly button, but they come above mine, and I have a sizeable ‘pouch’ on my abdomen 🤣

Lots of really good reviews - they stay in place, wash well and are comfy.
