Had to redo this run, I keep stopping on my Wednesday route and have to redo, used to manage it fine but now dread that route. Has anyone else had this and what did you do (its a good route for me on Wed time wise as only have a short amount of time between finishing work and picking up my son from nursery)

I had the same thing. In getting through the programme i used 3 different routes. I got to know every pothole and bush and every point where i was exhausted and therefore didn't look forward to returning on the next run. At that point i searched out a different route which i would then walk the day before so i knew how far it was and to check in case there were any unwanted hills 😃

I have one bit on my riverside run where I have to run through a car park, which I totally hate for some reason, and it always puts me in a really bad mood until I'm through it. Strangely enough I mind it a lot less on my way back
Is there one bit of your route that you dislike? Can you run it in the other direction to change it up a bit?
I can totally relate to this - there’s a road near me that I can’t bear no idea why! It leads to other various routes, so is useful in that respect, it’s also a very, very pretty road. Maybe it’s because during lockdown it was always heaving and difficult to manoeuvre along, so I just have a mental block with it 😁. It’s not as though the road has actually done anything wrong! 😆

It sounds as if there is some time pressure involved there, so perhaps it would be better to fit your run in when you can relax more.........or change the route.
Perhaps if you don’t think about stopping and maybe slow down and look at the scenery, or even reverse the route. I only had one route to run but I reversed the run and the slight change in scenery worked. Above all, keep 🏃♂️

Thank you all for all your great ideas!!! Its nice to know that not the only one that gets proper bugged by a places!! I have tried running it a different way before but didn't work. I never thought about the time pressure before but think that may have been a factor. My husband is doing c25k too (he graduated today🥳) and we were rushing out to fit the runs in together. I don't drive and have so far being avoiding street running (probably the embarrassment factor). On a Sunday we normally go to the park with the wee one and take turns running but because of a birthday today couldn't do it so ran seperate. I ran from my house around the streets to the citycentre waterfront (down hill) and it was my favourite run yet, it felt so freeing and I didnt even care about the sweaty walk home!!! Thanks for all of your help!! Week 8 run 3 done!!!Hidden backintime Frenc IannodaTruffe Hidden
