Week 5

So that’s Week 5 completed. Have to be honest was not looking forward to Run 3 ,with the leap from 8 mins to 20 mins being of Beamon’esque proportions, but 0530h came and away I went. Frankly I surprised myself having told my family all week that there was no way I could do 20 minutes non-stop. I found that, whilst not easy, all the preparation had helped, just love Laura ❤️, and by breaking it down into 5 minute blocks it eased the pressure of thinking “ God, still got 14 mins to go”. I actually think I could have gone on and done the full 30 but didn’t want to wreck the programme.

Very pleased with myself - not bad for a mid-60’s slightly heavy bloke with a dodgy back and ankles.

On to Week 6 next week.

Congratulations on completing week 5 of the program 👏👏👏You'll be smiling all day now 😬

Be careful with week 6, runs 1 and 2 often catch people out .

Keep them slow and steady .

Happy running 👍

Well done! Amazing what a bit of belief (in the programme, if not yourself) can do!!

That's the big one done and now you're really on your way. Keep it up, you're doing great 👍🏻
