Just finished week 2. Going well. Should I run and go to the gym on the same day?

Welcome to the forum.

As long as you are not doing any impact training at the gym, then it will be up to how fit you are and whether you can cope with both on the same day. It might be more sense to go on your rest days, but listen to your body.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

That depends entirely what you intend to do at the gym ...

I’m a new gym goer too. Just use treadmill and cross trainer and apparatus to improve upper body strength

OK, so if you're also quite new exercising, then be sure not do any impact stuff on your non-running days. Make sure you build carefully and gradually - don't over do it!
