Hi runners

I’ve had a pretty full on day. Worked very late and was not wanting to go out. Bad news my car breakdown is now a car write off and I’m on a very early train tomorrow morning, while most humans are still in bed! Not packed or ate my dinner, but decided to grab a go bar, drink some water, find my leggings, couldn’t find it more obstacles, so I decide I’m going out with one with a hole! (yaay!), but I do have my new bright pink waterproof jacket with pockets perfect for keys and phone. 😁

Set out now, not knowing exactly where I’m going to run, all I know is I’m running. Decided to go for the main roads, as it’s a bit late and I prefer to be where it’s more open. I realised that I left the oven on, so had to start walking back during the 5 min warm up. Keeping the pace though! 😉

Approaching the house and Michael commands that I start running, so I do, but need to run past the house, so did so very very slow, (inner snail on point!) so that I can hopefully get back to turn the oven off when still in the next walking session! Achieved it and then went back out to the road to carry on without a hitch! I was absolutely beaming during my final run! I have found the perfect stress reliever too! Feeling unstoppable, but I do wish I could get a bit of a break now!

What a saga! But it’s so nice to have something to be very happy about! ❤️

Oh I'm sorry to hear about you car :-( Your run sounds great though (I did laugh at the hole ;-) ) and combining it with oven-control is taking it to a whole new level. Good luck with the early morning start.

I can now say I’ve done that too Eiralas! And nobody cared, including me! 😂

Thank you ❤️

That's great! (That you didn't care, not that you had a hole in you leggings ;-) )

Loving it Fabulous450! Well done for keeping focused in the face of so much adversity. You're a legend! 😍 🎉 (So sorry about your car, what a mare)

Lol well I can say I’ve had every deterrent possible thrown at me since W1R1, but I’m on W2R3 tomorrow. The car was the biggest, it’s not old and should have had many years of use left, just not meant to be.

Running has given me a new way to clear my head and I’m grateful for that! Onwards and upwards as they say!! To us all...😁😁🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️

That's funny... my friend Kat kept telling me that running clears her head but it's not until now that I ACTUALLY "get it". She's so right ... and so are you. 😊

Well done that lady! Applauding you on the legging thing, I’m not wearing those until minus 15 kilos from now. But even more importantly: well done on the back bone thing. I have had a rest day over the weekend (so three days off in total). Thought it would break my motivation (a known thing for me, when breaking a streak in just about anything), but it turned out very helpful. So take a rest day if needed!!

Thank you Tjar ❤️!

It was a long working day, I had bad news about the car, I was pretty flat and it was getting very late. So, after more frustration looking for my invisible running leggings 😖, I decided it had to be the ancient ones with the holes and I’m so glad I did it. I am trying to work around my days working away (there’s no pattern), but I’ve also spotted somewhere to run yesterday, which means I just have to pack my gear (without the holes) and go for it! I will have had 2 rest days before my next run W2R3 tomorrow.

Still on the journey! 😁❤️

Good for you! I’ve just last week set up a ‘schedule’ in my calendar, so yes: I too am now a person trying to plan life around my running, instead of squeezing in runs. That makes me officially ‘having the bug’ me thinks 😂

Look at das_vikas’s’ last post. Saying the same thing about a rest day.

Your story was so amusing. In life there can be so many obstacles that you have to overcome, yet you were so focused on getting your run in, you did it. A round of applause and well done.

I've been there and it is hard but someone said to me "put yourself first for a change" and theres nothing wrong in saying "No".

Keep going. Im looking for a light weight running coat as you mentioned in your blog any recommendations.

Thanks Keayma

I always try to use humour when you really can’t change things. It helps to have a good old laugh at myself!

I bought a really nice pink one in TKMaxx while browsing for knee support. It has a hood inside the collar and everything! I’m very pleased with it! 😁 I’m not sure of the name, but I’ll let you know when I get home. I have felt a little weakness in one knee for a while, so I’m not taking any chances! Warding off the potential disasters, whenever I can 🤣. I found the knee support there too and both for £20! So results all round there!

Thanks for the support! Best of luck with your runs too!! ❤️

Waterproof name is DIDRIKSONS1913. Never heard of them, but it definitely does the trick Keayma. Love it! ❤️
