Hey, just found this forum. Lovely to read the comments and success stories of others! Brilliant to see that the course is changing people's lives!!
I love running myself, I used to run a few years ago although stopped when I started suffering from knee pain pretty much after every run. I didn't really know what to do about it, so just stopped completely. Towards the end of last year finally decided to do something about it and got it checked by a doctor. I was told it was chondromalacia patella and advised to start up daily cycling to build up my leg muscles, and was also referred to a podiatrist. So got myself an exercise bike (brilliant piece of kit!!) and went to the podiatrist who prescribed some insoles.
A few months later, my legs are super fit and my feet are used to the insoles, so decided to start running again. Had never done the c25k before but thought it would be a good way to build the running up slowly and hopefully avoid the pain coming back. So far so good and looking forward to doing my third run of week 3 this evening!
Really missed running and am thrilled to out on my feet again, little worried about the injury coming back but really like the way the course is structured so fingers crossed I can keep the pain away. Just wondering if anyone else has had anything similar themselves and got back running again?

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
There are plenty of people here who have used C25k more than once to get back into running. Myself included. Its gently progressive format is ideal for keeping injury risk minimal.
Thanks! Really useful link, was quite a read but learned a lot from it, thanks!! Will definitely be incorporating more stretches into my post-run routine. Just did a set earlier, finished week 3 now so week 4 next week
Great news that you've found a way to improve your knees! Hope it continues to go well. I'm just restarting c25k to get back into running too so am also enjoying the forum, really motivating to hear everyone's stories and experiences
Thanks! Great to hear you're back running too! I'd never done the c25k before but am really enjoying the sense of achievement. I've run many 5ks in the past (pre-injury) and I know it's weird to say but this is way more satisfying. Super comforted by the gradual progression and love the goals each week, absolutely brilliant stuff! Good luck with your c25k and looking forward to reading your story
Well done on finding a way back.. sounds like you are doing great and well on your way. Good luck on the rest of the program... you definitely got this!👊🏽
