Hi everyone, today was my 1st run after 4 months off after having covid at the beginning of Dec. It has triggered my asthma after 20 yrs free of it. So after a couple of months getting my breath back with inhalers to help, I got back out today. R1 wk 1 , it was easier than I expected, but I donβt want to over do it too quickly. As much as I thought I still hated running, I was so wrong, I have missed it so much and canβt tell you how good I felt whilst out running and after. Please anyone thinking of getting out there, just do it, itβs amazing. Canβt wait for R2 . Happy running πββοΈ ππππ
1st post covid run π: Hi everyone, today was my... - Couch to 5K
1st post covid run π
Very well done for getting back out there. Thatβs real commitment after your enforced break. Bravo ππΌππΌπ
Well done ..ππ I haven't had Covid but had a bad flu a few years ago and it left me with a weak set of lungs for a while.. on inhalers for months but it did eventually get better..
I did week one run one yesterday too π....
Massive well done to you... there is going to be a few of you heading for that podium in nine weeks time... Keep it slow and keep it steady x
Well done you for getting out there. We can tick the weeks off together. One step at a time. Enjoy the journey π
Yeah absolutely.. but I will definitely need to do it step by step.. just celebrated my 50th and never been a runner only walking and yoga.. so a complete newbie π.. dont let me hold you back π
Huge well done you! Good to be recovering and great to get out there! Keep it slow and steady as ever :)Maybe team up on here with Bonnym .. hit the podium for Graduation together I love a party!
Thanks for the words of wisdom, itβs tempting to jump a run or two but think I will take it steady. Itβs good to have a virtual running buddy to keep the motivation going too. I look forward to C25K take 2.... oh yes and a party π
Of course..! I am repeating C25K for the umpteenth time after illness in October..I am on Week 7 Run 3 tomorrow. I intend to have a podium party.. again
Lovely post. Congrats on getting back out there
Well done!! I went out today for first time after 6 months of long Covid, only managed a 5 minute jog but so much more than I could do a few weeks ago.
