What app is everyone using to record their runs? Distance, maps, calories, time etc? Want to have a record so I can see my performance improve

Record runs
I use Strava.. which works on my iPhone and Apple Watch .... however, having said that I have created an excel sheet that keeps all of the stats in a row ie date/time/distance/calories/av. heart rate/av. min per km/ notes - which run(zombies/Nike run club) how I felt. But I think it all ends up being a personal preference. Good luck and happy running 👍🏃♀️
Another vote for Strava too. My only gripe with it is I wish you could sort your activities by type as I track a lot of walks and some cycles too and wish I could see all my runs in one list.
Several apps. I have Strava for sharing runs. My Garmin watch has its own app.
And as backup I also record my runs on FitoTrack app (Android).
Welcome to the forum.
I use Runkeeper because it allows you to create your own interval runs.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
Hi, I invested in a Galaxy Fit2 fitness band which talks to my phone, but it also records every step I take all day with or without the phone nearby. You can pick one up for around £30 - worth every penny. The inbuilt heart rate monitor is great (mine is set to record all the time) and over time has shown how my heart rate is now dropping a bit as I run, and my recovery rate is also getting better (I'm just finishing week eight).
You access all the data through the Samsung Health app, inbuilt on most Samsung phones, and if you remember to tell the watch that you're going for a run it'll record your route, pace (and even gives you split pace recording for the four quarters of your run so you know how your pace altars during your run), heart rate, elevation, and produces some nice graphs to make sense of it all. You have to have the phone with you when you run, but I need that for music anyway.
It just means that you can compare runs over time and see how you're doing, and the accurate daily step count (with or without the phone) is a bonus.
It even has a 20 day battery life too! Definitely worth a look and has certainly helped me keep motivated.
Give me a shout if you'd like more info.
😊
I have a garmin watch.
