Just thought I’d post this, having graduated one month ago I have done the 10 recommended consolidation runs and some other runs a little bit more than 30 minutes and yesterday I thought I would try running for 5K which I did in 43 minutes. So pleased with myself I just thought I’d share it just to help others like this forum has helped me

Congratulations on running your first 5K in 43 minutes, you should be very proud of yourself and very soon you will be able to run a sub 40 minute 5K. 😊 🏃🏾

First 5K is fantastic, isn't it? Don't try to push your next one too much - those PBs will come. You deserve a mini celebration.

That is truly excellent news! So many people think that they have to be running 5K in 30 mins at graduation, but the time is SO much more important than the distance. As you have found, the distance will come in time, and there is NO rush for it.Enjoy your Spring and Summer of running and stay safe...

Well done on your 5k. Try not to push yourself too hard, difficult I know, but it is so easy to get injured. Enjoy your running !
