Thanks to Beastie_MCCXIX 's 5k finish yesterday, I'd already made my plan. I was gonna run through cooldown and add a 2nd cooldown in the app. This should in theory get me to 5K.
The sun was out. The daffodils are still on the route. The wind was against me on the way out.. which meant I'd have it for the whole finish of the run. I ran further than before to hit midway, and then ran further so I could still fit the 5k in.
Happy the whole run. I knew. There was no doubt. The 30 minute run came and I ran for another 5 minutes. I didn't even feel it. I could've done more. In the end I had to walk around the estate to finish the walk. So delighted.
Ignore the walking pace, I was running downhill in cooldown, so was faster and it was recorded in walking time rather than running time.
Thanks to everyone on here for all the encouragement and help. Here's some things I found helped.
Slow and steady–it's not a race.
Dynamic stretches before and static stretches after.
Knee and sock compression helped.
W5R3 is amazing and it's all in your head doing it. W6R1 is harder and looks easier. Don't be fooled.
You. Can. Do. It.
And I'll be back out Monday to consolidate it.

Hardly, I just did a bit extra on the last day, and that was inspired by Beastie_MCCXIX from the day before. Someone else the same day as me finished with a 37 min run, so did more running than me. I don't believe the HSE do. The screen shots were from the app I used. I did of course download and listen to some of the podcast versions from here though.
