Week 3 run 2 help !
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
You are not running for as long in W3, hence the shorter distance.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
Don’t worry about how far you go! it’s about running for the amount of time to build the stamina to run longer so you may well find you slow down to keep going, well done for getting this far
Don't worry about distance. Many of us find that we attempted to run too fast in the early stages of C25K. You need to build up the strength in your legs to be able to run for the longer duration runs towards the end of the programme.Speed can come later when your legs and body become fit enough!!
Thanks everyone, I must admit didn’t think I would get this far my first ever run I couldn’t hold 60seconds so really proud of how far I have come. I am back at work this week after being furloughed for a year and getting up and doing a run at 7am. I am enjoying it so much 😀
I’d agree with everyone else. I’m not going to finish the programme running 5k I. 30 mins. But that’s okay because I’ve got off the couch and feel challenged and (mostly!) enjoying it. Never thought I’d even get this far. Keep going !
