I want to start C25k, I'm 61, can't afford special trainers, how do I support my ankles? I can't run for a bus, have done exercise classes and gym, but panic when out of breath.
Can anyone help?

Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.
If you want to run then in the long term you would be advised to buy some decent running shoes, especially if you have ankle issues........the best investment you can make in your health and fitness.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
1. You don't need special trainers to start.
2. Are your ankles dodgy? Why do they need support?
3. If you can't run for a bus, then on you're on the proverbial couch. And this is Couch to 5K so it seems you've come to the right place. It's designed for people like YOU 😎
4. Exercise classes and gym? Excellent - you probably CAN for a bus if you had to
😉
5. Panic when out of breath? How does that work in the gym and during exercise classes?

Not actually my ankles...the top of my foot across the front of the ankles. Just went for walk, could feel it on just 1 foot, seemed to be hitting that one harder on floor, was ok on way back 🤔
Do be careful running without properly fitted running shoes. I started in ordinary trainers and got shin splints in week 3, one the most painful things I have ever known. Proper shoes are well worth the money, as is a sports bra if you are a lady, the rest can wait...
Shin splints?
Really painful condition, no idea how to explain it, perhaps Google it?
