Hi all. I have just started again and am feeling good about it. I completed Couch25k last autumn, but wet pavements and cold wet weather defeated me and I stopped running and got rather into overeating. So, a few months and several extra pounds later, I’ve gone back to week one. And the big surprise is that I haven’t lost all the fitness I gained last year. First time round I found the first runs very hard, running for one minute was pretty torturous. Now it’s easy! Just back from week1 run2 and feeling really positive. I’ve stopped giving myself a hard time for messing up too. I’m 66 and aiming to finish the runs just before my second vaccine on May the first. So for anyone else who’s feeling the need to restart, or feeling bad because they’ve stopped running, I say go for it and give yourself a pat on the back.

I’m just about to finish this course second time around and am a similar age .. I initially did it the first time round nearly 2 years ago and then found it difficult to keep the momentum going without a challenge but like you I found my body kind of remembered what to do .. so if we can do it anybody can 😁
