☹️ bit sad

I’m a bit disappointed. I did Wk 8 first run on Monday. It was tough but I completed it. I went out today and my legs just wouldn’t comply. Maybe it was too early, but I did stretch. Should I try again this afternoon? I can’t do tomorrow but can do it on Friday. Any ideas welcome please. Btw, I am very much a plodder, not really ‘running’ yet.

I would rest for the rest of today and tomorrow and go again on Friday, i read somewhere some People need two rest days in between longer runs, you just listen to your body and what its telling you, and well done getting to week 8! Thats amazing!! Hope i get to where you are! (Week5!)

Well done on your progress.Perhaps you need longer rest between runs as the duration increases.

Did you do the recommended dynamic stretches pre run? Static stretches can potentially reduce the power of your muscles and are reserved for post run stretching only, as detailed in the guide to the plan.

Rest nearly always improves the situation, whereas trying to do too much is more likely to result in injury and/or disappointment.

I did W8R1 after 3 days rest due to bad weather and then attempted R2 after a days rest but found I just couldn’t quite complete it ... maybe Horses4Courses gives good advice in leaving a bit longer between runs .. I too am a plodder

I would advise you to repeat run 2 of week 8 on Friday.
