Ok troops i need some support.

Since i returned from morocco 2 wks ago i havent been able to do my run.i had finished week 4 and the day after i returned home i strained a muscle in upper back bending in the house!

Im seeing physio friday after acknowledging its not going away but...

Key point : my routines gone.miss running.eating terribly.look awful.

The running gave me the total package motivating me to eat well etc

The thought of having to repeat week 4 as warm up when i can finally get out there is a depressing one because i did it.

I feel awful and eating horendously

Help!

Judalee - go to Physio and get back into week5! You’ll be great. The running and the food thing go hand in hand and you know you did it before and you’ll do it again. Hopefully this day next week you’ll have a run under your belt and the worlds your oyster 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Don’t beat yourself up too much we all get set backs, just take it easy when you get back into it and good luck

There is absolutely nothing wrong with repeating weeks 4, you have done it before but you can look at this in a positive way and use it as a benchmark to see if your body is recovered enough to move along.

I re-ran week 1 run 1 when I started and anticipate rerunning many of the later runs. although we feel it may be directly related being able to eat right and feel motivated has nothing to do with sticking to the plan, its the chemicals released by the body while we run that gives us the fighting edge, if you decide to re-run week 4 you will feel awesome after w4r1.

Right now, hon, see what the physio says, get better and look after that back.

Fingers crossed it'll be a simple fix. So pick up where you left off. Only go backwards if you absolutely need to.

We're all cheering you on!!

See your physio and take his advice... but before then... some simple easy stretches maybe... get your healthy eating back on track..use the non run time to prep some healthy meals... then head out again, when he gives you the go ahead... and take it really slowly and steadily!

Think about healthy eating as preparing you for an awesome return when you are able to run again!
