After completing week 9 months ago, I could never get back to running 30 minutes non stop. Undetermined I persevered and for the last few months I’ve been running 5x8 mins with walking breaks which gets me to over 5km during my running sections and over 7km if I include my running and walking. For the last couple of months I’ve only been going out once a week as I felt I lost my mojo. However the other day my watch and phone stopped and didn’t beep when 8minutes was finished and I ended up running 15 mins walked 10 minutes and then 2x8 mins. Feeling slightly better, I ventured out for a second run of the week and did a 20 minute non stop (which is unlike me) as I say I’d got my head around jeffing
Now my dilemma is do I try to build back up to longer non stop runs (but then I feel like I’m taking a step back as I normally run for 40mins currently) or should I up my segments ie instead of doing 5x8mins should I do 5x10 minutes or should I do my jeffing sections once a week and maybe a longer run once a week???????
Sorry for long post I’m confused as to the way forward

I think go with what feels best for you Health2020! Ive completed C25K in Jan and tried stepping stones podcast afterwards which i managed to complete on 2nd attempt and then not since which made me very frustrated with running. In the end ive gone back to C25K week 9 runs and my regular snail speed and hey presto, managed to complete the run and im back to happy running! Its definitely worth trying out different variations as it lets you experience different styles and build stamina and you can settle on the one that works best for you😄👍, wishing you best of luck on your next run!
Look up Jeffing, maybe that is something for you? Basically it is a running / walking method. People run marathons in this manner. Most people do a 30 sec run / 30 sec walk ratio, but I myself do 4:30 min run 0:30 min walk. This works for me as with shorter ratios I was running much to fast to feel good. With this 4:30 / 0:30 I feel comfortable. It allows me to keep my breathing calm and my legs fresh enough to keep running.
