I am so pleased! I was really, really faffing in my head this morning - which route, what to wear etc. Anyway I finally decided today was the day for the Nike 35 min run with Coach Bennett. That man sure can talk! It was a real effort I can’t lie, but the run’s saving grace was the last 5 mins or so which was a steady downhill incline which was very welcome. And I ran 5.19k in those 35 minutes, so absolutely delighted. Now to stretch! Happy running all πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜ƒ.

WOW, 5K in 35 minutes? I am kinda jealous, but then again I'm happy with my snail pace, haha. I have not yet reached 5K, running run 12 after graduation this evening. Calculated that I will need about 47 minutes to reach 5K. So again: WOW for your 35 minutes!

Many thanks BlackScorpion! I am very pleased. I got overtaken by a lady going very fast, so we’re all different! And we’re all off the couch πŸ˜€.

It's a great feeling Frenc so many ask if they'll be running 5k in 30 mins at the end of couch to 5 k, but the answer is well we're all so different..

But you've reached that magical distance well done and what a way to click up consolidation run number 9 πŸ‘πŸ†πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

Thank you so much Imc50. I had it in my head that for some reason I’d try 5k on consolidation run 15. But today it just seemed to click. Next few runs will be nice and gentle. Enjoy your day πŸ˜€πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ.

That first 5K is fantastic isn't it. It is like a validation of the whole programme. I've done four 5Ks in January, but all between 43 and 44 minutes. You are doing so well. Keep it up and look up Bridge to 10K. Or at least Bridge to 60 minutes first.

Ah thank you for your kind words Rennur. You are so right, it definitely validated the programme! And well done on your January runs. 60 minutes is definitely something to think about too (slowly!). Enjoy your next run πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜€.

Brilliant ! Congratulations on your first 5k FrencπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» Coach Bennett is a chatterbox sometimes but his positivity and encouragement certainly helps. There are 2 5k runs on NRC they’re both good ones πŸ‘

Thanks! Yes, he certainly is a chatterbox 🀣. But yes, he is very positive. There are some great runs on the NRC aren’t there, I was having a look last night. I want to do them all! But not this week methinks πŸ˜€.
