Sore ankles, week 4 run 2?

Sore ankles?! I’m on week 4 run 2, actually finding it a lot better except today both ankles are hurting while running to the point I’ve had to stop. I’ve stretched pre run too... any other tips please?

You say you stretched pre run, did you do dynamic stretching? Static stretches are not recommended for pre run. This is explained, with links, in the guide to the plan.

Good running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop should support you adequately.

The Strength and Flex forum can provide you with ankle strengthening exercises.

Nope I have never heard of it, thank you for the link! My trainers are good ones which I got fitted as I’ve got flat feet, but once the shops open I’ll go and get some advice. I was stood in the cold for 2 hours yesterday waiting for my covid vaccine so I’m wondering if that’s made them seize up a bit? Thank you again. Really appreciate it ☺️
