I took a 3 day break between runs for the first time since starting. Today was a gorgeous day and I was happy to be out...
Sadly the run felt like a bit of a struggle from start to finish - maybe it was the mince pies! I managed it, but I was glad to finish and that is now the last of my interval runs - itβs all straight through runs from here. Fingers crossed my next run is more gazelle like!

Be really proud that you ran today, i think most of us are feeling the effects of christmas food
Ohhhh a stretched break flightrisk, my C25k used to see me running, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but that weekend break always made Mondays feel kinda tough..... We like routine and the run a day rest a day suited me just fine π. Moving on my December is very fragmented regarding my running, odd niggles, Welsh lockdown π..... Again oh and the chrimble thing.
But the good thing is you ran ππͺ..
Time to release that inner gazelle now..... You can. Almost see that week 9 in front of you π
@flightrisk Oh no, gazelle-like wasn't in the booklet!!!π€£π€£π€£ Not happening here, although I am trying to follow the 'no heel strike, no bounce' advice!
We all have bad runs (and good ones of course). Being tired or dehydrated can impact and sometimes we just have bad runs for no apparent reason. Over time you will have the experience to know this and dust yourself off for the next one.
Well done getting first run after Christmas meals. We all have runs we feel great on and runs we find a drag and have to keep pushing ourselves on. But.. you did it! Well done! And hopefully you will enjoy your next run.. you can do it!
