I’m returned to running after several failed attempts. Completed c25k in September. Then got bit demotivated as I felt I’d done it. Idefinayely need a plan/challenge to keep me going.
I have a fairly sedentary job, more so since lockdown in March, as Working from home. After a conversation with a colleague, I turned my half hour extra snooze into a walk or run everyday. I now use my commute time everyday for exercise. It has huge benefits, I’m managing 5 k three times a week and 6/7 k walk on other days. I may be older than when I first started running but feel fitter, have lost weight and my mental health is so improved. A further plus is off blood pressure meds and no longer pre diabetic.
Has been win/win in every respect.
Don’t give up, every step in one forward.

Wow that’s really encouraging and I think I should do the same as you! I’m in similar situation and would be great to come off blood pressure meds and not be worrying about potential diabetes.
Sadly I’m writing this whilst having that extra half hour in bed 🤦🏽♀️
But I am going for a run later as not working today.
Tomorrow will be a non run day and I will try to make it a walk instead of extra snoozing. Will try and drag teenager with me as he needs to get out more too. Might try a Fitbit competition with him as he likes that and we both need motivation.
Well done on your change - sometimes it just needs the right comment to inspire. My couch to 5k commitment was after a late night discussion on the way home after a night out (remember those?) with a friend telling me about a different friend who had done it.
