Unfortunately I sprained / strained / pulled / whatever something in my back yesterday while playing with one of my cats. I think it's a muscle in my back that had gone into a spasm or I don't know what. Have been putting heat pads on the spot and going to put some ointment on it too.
Normally it was a running day today and today my back is slightly better than it was yesterday evening. But I am afraid that if I go for my run today, I will make my back worse. So despite having a really bad urge to run, I'll just try to listen to my brain and take the extra day of rest. Sitting at my desk working the whole day won't help a lot either I fear, but what can I do? Anyhow, I do hope I will be able to run W5R2 tomorrow though, I was looking forward to it.
Please cross your fingers that I can run tomorrow?
Same for me this weekend. Pain on Friday. Have rested over weekend and back to it today no problems. Better to be safe than sorry. I've pushed it in the past and ended up out of action for 6 weeks.
That's what I am afraid for too. Better 1 day extra rest (I hope I can keep it to 1 day) instead of forcing it and being out of the run (no pun intended haha) for several weeks. Glad to hear you're doing fine after a weekend of rest!
