I thought I had carried on for 2-3 minutes, but I checked my distance after and I did another 500m, so I must have ran longer and felt comfortable - maybe the fantastic Brookes Ghosts know already I will become a distance man after Consolidation and not a speed merchant.
My gait analysis said I was normal (or to be accurate my gait was normal) so did not need any orthotic gear. At least I know I can get "normal" runners; I may get some cheaper shoes for muddy runs, when I get brave enough to move off the pavements.
Only wore a T-shirt and still ended up a sweaty mess.
Love being off the couch.

Well done, that's another run ticked of, i'm the same, warm up very quickly, even on dark, cold, evening runs, usualy have a long sleeve, and a t-shirt over the top! 🥵How were the new shoes, i was thinking about getting this gait stuff done, bought new running shoes, at start of c25k, spent about £60, asics gel pulse 11, never spent £100+ on any shoes!!! 🤣
Well done. Were you actually told that you are "normal" or did they say neutral?
Only a small proportion of runners are actually neutral, so it doesn't equate to "normal" and normal, if it were based on averages would mean an overpronator.
They showed me the video and said I was fine. I expected to see some pronation on my right foot but honestly it was as straight as a die. Can't remember if they used word 'Normal,' "neutral" or just nothing to worry about here or anything. I am very happy. I could have gone on for miles they felt so good, but I behaved myself. Plus porridge was calling.
