W4R3 extra walk, where did this come from?

I was dreading W4 as read it here that it will be a big jump from W3, when you start running for 5min for the first time. It definitely was difficult and I had to give my all not to stop or start walking instead but made it! Jo's voice had made me trust the system and it worked! Today i was listening to music quite loud and missed my walking break so ended up doing run-run-run instead😂, when i finished running, i went for 30min walk to enjoy the morning for a bit longer. Where is this coming from?? I have never run in my life before or done other form of excercise, so this feels very new😅

Tut! Tut! The walking breaks are very important. You'll have run continuously for 9.5 minutes or 10.5 minutes if you've skipped one of the walks. Not good.

However, at W4R3, it'll have caused less harm than if it had been W4R1.

I don't think you're going to have problems with the rest of the course, but please do stick to the scheme. Your muscles are strengthening and your endurance is obviously there, but bones, ligaments and tendons take a bit longer to catch up. Too much too soon is the way to get injured.

For me, the first couple of weeks of C25K were a necessary chore. Around Week 3 something clicked and it became something I desired to do instead.

Thank you for your message nowster! I have no idea how I missed my rest walk, i normally look out for those😂, you make a valid point, the last thing I want is the injury now, when i'm starting to enjoy it! Will need to make sure that i get those breaks in too!
