I'm sure like some others on here, I worry about being laughed when it comes to running. Yesterday I visited a sports shop because I needed a waterproof jacket to run in.
My lost look must have given it away as a young assistant asked if I needed any help. I explained that I was looking for a cheap and cheerful waterproof jacket for running. Without blinking and in a very natural manner he asked: "Is it for you madam"? ...... Well, you could have knocked me down with a feather, no disgusting looks or smerks. "YES ... for me" I said😁😁. They took me to the appropriate section and left me to it.
The attitude of this young person, accepting the item was for me without questioning, really made my day. Amazing how a few words can mean the world to someone like me!!
