I’m 78 and with a hip replacement and I’ve done the Couchto5k with no ill effects! In fact I feel great! Admittedly it took me 13 not 9 weeks, starting carefully. Not sure I’ll ever manage 10k though...

Wow! Well done you. That's amazing. Why even think about 10k, just enjoy 30 minutes or 5k. The buzz after sets me up for the day. Every time I think of an excuse not to go out, I'll think of you.

Wow amazing 🤩 I didn’t think I would ever do 10 k having completed the C25K this year but I have ... it just happened (over a period of about 3 months I 🤔 think) as I’m sure it will with you too if that’s what you want 👏🏽👏🏽 Once again Congratulations 🥳

Well done Runner - forget the 'Aging` part of your name, because you just proved it's irrelevant! All successes are to be celebrated, but in circumstances such as yours it really does spread inspiration both to younger runners who can see they could also have a very long running life ahead of them, and to us older ones informing us that when the bits and bobs start wearing out, it's not necessarily all over. You have also demonstrated how miraculous the human body is and that at any age it will serve us if we look after it and exercise it. My best wishes and thanks to you. 👍

Congratulations! I've got a bionic hip too & have done a few 10ks now. I'm not fast & never will be (doesn't agree with the metal work 🤖)but I'm just glad to be out there. I graduated in March & I'm really enjoying it. Welcome & happy running!

Well done, fantastic achievement, especially as you’ve had a hip replacement! I really don’t think it matters if you run 10k or not so long as you are out there running and enjoying yourself. Keep up the brilliant work 👍😊
