W7r1... I think I may have been better running in wellies. I’m not sure if it was the weather or if I’m in a bad mood in general today but this run felt harder than the one I did the other day. I don’t think it’s the right time to go back to go onto week 8 (where I was pre Covid) so I may continue with the rest of w7 so I know I’m ready for w8 abs beyond.
Look at the state of my “new trainers” there isn’t an inch of me that isn’t wet...

Oh dear 😳. They are white too 😬. I love when my trail shoes look like this and they clean up well but they’re not white! If it’s cold or muddy underfoot that can make a run feel much harder but trust your judgement and continue with W7 if you feel it’s right for you. It’s only a few more days after all. Hope you get back to full fitness soon and get those trainers clean 🧼 😉
I have a memory that you also did a wild run in a storm just before COVID struck? I think that was more wind and less mud, though. I imagine the conditions made it harder. You could just press on or repeat; it won’t matter in the r greater scheme of things... you’re still heading steadily towards graduation.👏👏👏
Poor little shoes HC, nevertheless you enjoyed your run today, I am not sure if I would ever run a 5K in Wellington Boots, perhaps in deep snow if I was prepared to run a 50 minutes 5K just to keep my (not) parkrun Saturday morning runs going.
Maybe when it is that bad you should stick to the pavements and avoid the farmyard! If you do Week 7 again, maybe you might only repeat one or two runs instead of all three.
Poor trainers but well done you on getting out there in the rain. I ran today and it felt harder with the rain pelting me and I was soaked through by the time I’d finished but I felt a sense of accomplishment that I hadn’t been defeated by the rain ☔️
Yikes!! Well done you for running at all👏👏Just keep on doing what feels comfortable (perhaps that's not the best choice of word) for you. Good luck ☘️☘️ with your 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️. Take care
Hattie...OMG...look at them shoes!!! Hope you've managed to get them clean. Hattie, go with how YOU feel, there's no rush, you'll soon get to graduate...it will be there waiting for you when you're ready😁👍. Take it steady. All the best. 🦌🐌🐢🏃♀️🙋
