Morning all and a very happy Sunday to everyone. Nice early start today and randomly decided on an 8k run. I've been drinking and eating rubbish all weekend so figured this would be awful πŸ˜‚ used Coach Bennetts grateful 8k as needed somebody to keep me out of my own head with these kind of distances. The guy does grow on you πŸ˜‚ he's the angel on one shoulder and coach Dyer is the devil on the other πŸ˜‚ I sort of take on coach Bs chat and then think what would coach Dyer say? During the quiet periods. All in all it really worked and the time and the miles flew in πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

I ran for 8k! Just over 5miles in a bit over 46 minutes, really pleased with that! Also makes me think that 10k really isn't that much of a stretch anymore πŸ˜‚ never thought I'd say that in my life. Maybe even a sub 1 hour 10k! πŸ˜† These are certainly now getting added to my things to do list, along with actually posting on the 10k forum πŸ˜‚ in mostly just lurking on there right now but could be time to make the move. Will still be on c2k5 to read/reply everybody's posts though 😁.

Let's hope next week is a great one for everybody!

Good run for you today, yes, you will be able to run a sub 60 minutes 10K very soon.

Well done Jericho - thats really good going! I’m about to head out the door for my first run in 12 days - niggles finally feeling better, although I’m apprehensive about triggering them again so need coach Dyre’s gentle encouragement πŸ€£πŸ€› wish me luck 🀞🦌

Cheers SD, I'm sure you will be fine just don't go nuts πŸ‘πŸ» coach Dyer will be there with you probably calling you a melt for thinking about injuries 🀣 he's harsh but he means well 🀣 get out and smash it, let us know how you get on, good luck πŸ‘πŸ»

Morning- you’re doing great to have built up that distance already. Seems like you’ve got into a good routine and running speed. I might look at increasing to a bit longer on the 4K weekday runs next week- maybe add 0.5k to get them nearer to the 5.5k weekend ones. I need to build some strength up though I think. Well done on your epic run- you’re keeping us all challenged - 10k def in sight πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ¦ŒπŸ¦ŒπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Wow..well done on your run..8km you say?!!! That is really fab, you're making such progress with your distance and pace these days. You are clearly getting stronger and more cardio fit as you keep the runs going consistently and it's great to see the progress. As Bambi said, you're keeping us challenged in Team Gazelle πŸ˜ƒ

As I was out on my run this morning, I was thinking "I wonder who else from Team Gazelle is out this morning?? Who else is calling on Coach Dyer's dulcet tones and gentle coaching in their ear right now? "πŸ˜‚ Kind of keeps you going, I love this run community. You are so on target for a sub-1hr 10k πŸ’ͺ🏻It's quite exciting I imagine to get to 8k and think, well..10k isn't far off and feels so achievable. I did my first 6km this morning and I did start to think about the 10k for the first time!! Ahh.. bring it on 🀩 Enjoy that post-run glow today knowing you've hit 8km. Woohoo!

Yes Jericho yes you’re really starting to make things happen out there. You’re probably right about moving on up to the 10k challenge. You’re an inspiration to us all a real success story just the sort that C25K was made for. You go for it you’ll be doing marathons before long.

Not what you're looking for?
