Morning all and a very happy Sunday to everyone. Nice early start today and randomly decided on an 8k run. I've been drinking and eating rubbish all weekend so figured this would be awful π used Coach Bennetts grateful 8k as needed somebody to keep me out of my own head with these kind of distances. The guy does grow on you π he's the angel on one shoulder and coach Dyer is the devil on the other π I sort of take on coach Bs chat and then think what would coach Dyer say? During the quiet periods. All in all it really worked and the time and the miles flew in ππ»
I ran for 8k! Just over 5miles in a bit over 46 minutes, really pleased with that! Also makes me think that 10k really isn't that much of a stretch anymore π never thought I'd say that in my life. Maybe even a sub 1 hour 10k! π These are certainly now getting added to my things to do list, along with actually posting on the 10k forum π in mostly just lurking on there right now but could be time to make the move. Will still be on c2k5 to read/reply everybody's posts though π.
Let's hope next week is a great one for everybody!

Well done Jericho - thats really good going! Iβm about to head out the door for my first run in 12 days - niggles finally feeling better, although Iβm apprehensive about triggering them again so need coach Dyreβs gentle encouragement π€£π€ wish me luck π€π¦
Cheers SD, I'm sure you will be fine just don't go nuts ππ» coach Dyer will be there with you probably calling you a melt for thinking about injuries π€£ he's harsh but he means well π€£ get out and smash it, let us know how you get on, good luck ππ»
Morning- youβre doing great to have built up that distance already. Seems like youβve got into a good routine and running speed. I might look at increasing to a bit longer on the 4K weekday runs next week- maybe add 0.5k to get them nearer to the 5.5k weekend ones. I need to build some strength up though I think. Well done on your epic run- youβre keeping us all challenged - 10k def in sight πππ»π¦π¦πββοΈ
Wow..well done on your run..8km you say?!!! That is really fab, you're making such progress with your distance and pace these days. You are clearly getting stronger and more cardio fit as you keep the runs going consistently and it's great to see the progress. As Bambi said, you're keeping us challenged in Team Gazelle π
Yes Jericho yes youβre really starting to make things happen out there. Youβre probably right about moving on up to the 10k challenge. Youβre an inspiration to us all a real success story just the sort that C25K was made for. You go for it youβll be doing marathons before long.
