So, run 7 on mon evening, 32mins, nothing special, took a while to get going, things on my mind! R8, wed evening, shorter one, 25 mins, ran with daughter no.2, their twins, but she's not run for a while, so the old man π€£ kept it slow for her! She actualy ran the london landmarks half marathon, march 2019, for macmilan cancer, which made me super proud, maybe in a year or so, we can all do it together! π
So, R9 today, tried a different route, 3 km along canal, which was a nice change, but my brother rang me, to talk about my mum, ref care home, etc, and although the nrc app didnt pause, it stopped telling me how far i'd gone, and as i was quite happy, talking and running, just kept going, ended up 50 mins, 5.81 km, i'd set it for 5k.
Oh well, another one done, happy running everyone!!! πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ

Hi Peter...well done. You're really doing great. I always feel you're so supportive and encouraging with everyone else but you play down your own great efforts, you're obviously a very modest person...not to be knocked ππππ. That would be fantastic for you all to run the Landmarks together next year...what a high that would be. Well another 3 victorious runs under your belt ππ. Have you got a plan, or do you just mostly run as you feel on the day ? That's a couple of 5k'ers you've done nowππ...good for you, and good times. I want to do another week of CR's before I start thinking of changing any runs. Great stuffπππ. π¦π’ππββοΈπ
Thank you, very kind words βΊ, yep, sort of playing about with the runs, at the moment, i was thinking about the 60 min magic plan, which i guess, i've sort of been doing, 2Γ30 mins, and a longer one, all i know is i'm still enjoying the runs, and feel so much better for it, as i can sense, you are too! π
Yep, you're right, I'm still enjoying my cruising, it's really important to me keep my runs as pleasurable as possible. I know we can't always have great runs everytime, that's okay. Yeah... "feeling so much better for it"....that's bloody marvellous, isn't itππππ. π¦π’ππββοΈπ
Yep, i think if we're enjoying it, that's the main thing, distance, pace, splits, etc, not really important!Funny, about me and the girls, all running together, the're not talking to each other, at the moment, quite common, in our house! π€£
Oops! So now youβre chasing the 6k!!Naughty NRC! π
Really, though - you are doing so great, steadily pressing on with your CRs, despite all the difficulties, and thinking ahead to some future ambitions. And it sounds like youβve a fabulous one in mind. Iβm imagining you with your twins all running together at some post-COVID event... and with you advising them on their pacing and breathing!!
They'll have to run slow, if they want to stay with me, still going at quite a slowish pace, today was 8.43/km average, but had to slow down a few times, going past people walking along the canal, and up a few sets of steps, oh, and a couple of hilly bits! π€£
I can relate to that... I've got into the zone a couple of times by talking and running . Good luck with mums care home. My family have been through that in recent years.
Thank you, yep, life is not easy, at times, infact, pretty shit, quite alot of the time, but you have to keep getting up, and carry on! Running is certainly helping alot, at the moment, i've just seen your time, for your latest 5k, well done, you must be chuffed with that! π
Thanks . Yes , it wasnβt an easy run today but I tried hard to beat the previous time and managed it. Youβre right , Running does help with coping with lifeβs shit .
Hey, just catching up on everyone's runs and seen your CR7/8/9. You are steaming ahead with those CR's!!!!. Well done, you're making good consistent progress and should be pleased with yourself. And you're getting that distance up nicely!!! 3 runs a week is very good going. I think it's the regular running that is keeping me sane at the moment! Life is stressy for us all and thank goodness we now have running to help "run it off" when we need to. Sounds like you are on course for 6km very soon. Team Gazelle are smashing it this week π₯ π₯
