I’m slowly but surely getting all my gear together and at the same time rapidly emptying my bank account!
Next on my list is headphones. Could anyone kindly recommend any budget earphones good for running? I am thinking around the £50 mark. I’ve researched and read a squillion online reviews but am struggling hence this post.
I have been umm-ing and ahh-ing over Aftershokz Aeropex for a while, but have held back due to poor reviews on sound quality. I’m a huge music fan and love to listen to loud, rich and bassy music. Anything otherwise will render me disappointed and for £150 I just don’t want to go there.
I was also hoping to get some sort of mini MP3 player with Bluetooth and wondered if anyone out there had any recommendations in that regard?
[It’s a long and boring story but all of my music is currently on an iPod 160gb classic so I won’t be able to utilise that for running unless using traditional wired headphones which I am guessing would be annoying to run with?]
Thank you so much to anyone that replies x

could you not transfer your music to your phone or just use your phone and Spotify or something similar and then get Bluetooth headphones?I got my Bluetooth headphones for about £10 reduced from £30 and they're brilliant. They are Fitbury if you want to do a search on Amazon. I have an iPod which doesn't support Bluetooth And I love my music too, so I just use my phone with the free version of Spotify which I love, apart from the adverts butting in. I hardly ever use my iPod now. Hope that helps a bit?🏃♀️🏃♀️😁
I use Galaxy buds and my phone. To be fair if you are running outside you need to hear external sounds. Aftershokz allow this, my buds have an ambient sound setting but even so I often only use one, it depends what time of day and where I'm running. You should pick up some good deals at the moment though. 😊
Absolutely love my Aftershokz Aerpex. I wouldn't be without them now. I used to have these. They were fine, I never had any problem wearing them or with sound quality. I just didn't like having my ears covered.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07FT2VC5H/...
Hi a while back ì brought some cheap Phillip's corded in ear headphones and they have been great, better than in thought they would be. Comfortable and bassy but they did pop out my ears sometimes so now I use a cheap pair of corded JVC with the over ear hooks. I just tuck the canle under my top. I also have a 160 ipod classic and tbh I rarely use it now I have spotify on my phone 🙂
I use an iPod with corded ear buds and the cable doesn't get in the way, you just get used to it. I like it because it is small and light. My smart phone is too unwieldy to take on a run and I don't want the distraction of fiddling with it. I agree with others, it is important to be aware of what is around you and not have the volume too high, unless you are somewhere quite safe away from traffic, cyclists, dogs, horses, whatever ....
