Thanks to Alvor I talked myself into leaving my treadmill and running out side in the dark!! So a big Thanks. Where do I start ..... Walked and jogged.
To start with I was rasping for breath 2 in 2 out... but within about 5 minutes I got into the rhythm. I decided to let my legs do what they wanted but concentrate on my breathing and watching where I was going so I didn't fall over.
I had planned a route which I followed until the turn off for home then decided I'd keep jogging up to the next Zebra crossing and then come home. The worst bit was the hill up to my house!!
I'm not sure how accurate STRAVA is but it said I'd completed 2.8 miles!! and that my average pace was 13.24 where as on the treadmill the best I do is about 15 minute miles!! I'm sure that.s wrong but I'll take it!! I've order a Garmin 45 GPS watch in the Amazon sale - thanks to Tasha99 .
Now I'm going to have a coffee to celebrate me coming out of my shell.

Well done shuffleido...that was a huge step to take leaving the treadmill behind AND running in the dark!!!! I haven't ventured out in the dark yet...not sure I Will, so I'm really impressed. And how was it?? A very decent pace also👏👏👏Yep...I think you deserve that coffee. Good on you👍👍. 🦌🐢🐌🏃♀️🙋
That's great news, bet your pretty chuffed too, probably a bit like a graduation run! Hopefully, now you've done it once, the next one will be easier. I dont know your history of why you havent been running out side, but guessing this was a big step for you, keep it going, dont worry what other people think of you, i'm sure most will be thinking, i wish i could do that!!! 😀😀😀
Thanks so much for this post. I've been thinking about getting a Garmin watch and dithering, looking at prices, but I read this at 11 pm last night and managed to buy the 45S before it turned into a pumpkin at midnight. It was certainly the best price by far that I have seen this week. Can't wait for it to come
