i did it! 4 lots of 3 mins running today. 12 minutes 10 seconds of running in all. so i am inching towards wk4r1's 5 minute runs. and the 16 minute total. come on me! you can do it!
4 x 3 mins: i did it! 4 lots of 3 mins running... - Couch to 5K
4 x 3 mins
Well done DTC! Yes, you can do it. It doesn’t matter how long it takes to get there, you just need to get there!🙂👍
it may not sound a lot to most on here, but to me, it's the world.👍
Fabulous! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Well done!
Great work, dtc! You did it.Looking forward to the instalment on the next inch.
and now i am about to walk for half an hour...how my life has changed for the better
Great! Do it another time at least and you should be ready to tackle week 4. 👍
Well done DTC, you can do it 💪🏻🏃♀️
Add ‘This is Me’ to your playlist it’ll get you through those runs 👊
one more week 3.5 then i will try week 4...
i just heard my mate who runs, runs for 2 hours a day... omg... how pathetic do i feel
😱
You're not pathetic! Ask him how many years it took to get to the point where he was able to do two hours.
Even if you were to run 20 minutes today (that's a few weeks in the future for you), going by the 10%-per-week rule it would take a minimum of 5 months to reach 120 minutes. Very very few people go that far, or even run for that long once a week. That's the sort of time needed to run about 10 miles plus.
As others have said, comparison is the thief of enjoyment.
You really CAN do it! Keep going and you’ll get there. Well done for being so determined 😊
2.54 centimetreing just doesn't sound as good, does it?You're getting there.
If I was a betting man, which I am, I'd wager you'll crack this next week easily.
Yay! Well done you 🙌🏼👊👏🏻🐌🐢🏃🏻♀️
Hi dying-to-change,
well done, what an amazing result 👍
Don't think about what others are doing, this is your journey and remember you are laying the foundations for your future runs and success.
All the best for week 4, you can do this 😀
Well done, absolutely love reading your posts. You are doing fantastic 👏👏👏👏👍🐌🐢🦌🏃♀️🙋
wow what a wonderful response to my brief post. i feel grateful and blessed.
Well done dying-to-change, 12 minutes is fabulous. The couch to 5K is a plan but it doesn't have to set in stone 👍 all you've done is tweaked what you need to do to get towards that longer run, whatever works is brilliant. If you have to build up gradually then go for it. Perhaps after one or two rest days look at a 3.30 run, food for thought but you know that 5 minute thing isn't as scary as it may have been a few runs ago.
But remember dying-to-change stretch and rest and rehydrate and tell yourself ( regularly) you're fantastic 💪.....
Running outdoors yet?
hi you! not yet but i will be, worry not... ooh you are awful (but i like you) ....remember him?
Scratching the old Brain cells I've nearly got it but....but....but... It's too early and I've got a date with lycra and a pair of trainers 🥳 I'll have a think as I run ( don't tell me yet I'll get it)
fantastic comedian
The superb Dick Emery ( round of applause to me 👋👋👋👋👋)
will try the same again tomorrow... or to beat it...
