I injured my ankle and shin on my graduation run. Four weeks off. I was told by the physio to restart even gentler than with W1R1!

I worked up over several weeks with short intervals to the point I could rejoin C25K at week 4.

I tore my calf muscle at week 5. Rested 10 days, ran again then both calves became painful and tight. Had to rest for 5 weeks and see a physio, then started again from the start. Now graduated and running 8K. Touch wood calves been fine since, do plenty of stretches and strengthening exercises for the calves

I had calf injury week 4 - had two weeks on IC then first two attempts to run again were difficult. First one was a definite no, had to stop after 3 mins. Second one was better but still had to stop after 10 mins. Next run I completed and have been fine ever since. Although I now do much more calf stretches and foam rolling and I drink a lot more water. Good luck out there.

Thanks for the replies, i will definitely do more stretching and warm ups before running, and buy myself a foam roller. Thanks for the advice 😀👍
