Just about to tackle wk5 r1 and feeling a little apprehensive. I have always found the middle run of the week the hardest so a full 20 mins looks very daunting! The programme increments have worked well for me so far however so I will have faith in it. I have looked at the 'slow jogging' information and discovered it is more or less what I was doing - very happy to find it is officially a good thing
Looking at week 5 with apprehension: Just about... - Couch to 5K
Looking at week 5 with apprehension
Correction - it is run 3 that is 20 mins so that's a slight relief!
Relax, you are misinterpreting the whole basis of C25K. W5R3 is actually the shortest workout since W3.
It is all explained here healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
You can do this.
I trust the plan as it has got me (newbie runner just turned 70) this far. It is just seeing all the 20 mins running in one go that seems daunting. I am sure I will do it
I just did the 20 minutes run this morning! I felt exactly the same but trust the process, I managed it and I never thought I'd be able to. Push yourself but stop if you need to
Just put one foot in front of the other. When you hear that "five minutes to go" you will just carry on and think " if I can do 15 minutes then I'm not giving up now."
"One minute left" will sound the best piece of poetry since Shakespeare.
Then when you've finished, you will be tired.
Then slowly your face will contort to a huge grin for the rest of the day.
Enjoy that feeling.
