I turned 66 last Monday, and this morning I completed the first 30-minute run of Week 9. My hat's off to Laura and everyone else involved with the Couch to 5K program.
It hasn't always been easy. There were a few times when I seriously wondered how and why I talked myself into picking up running again after a break of nearly 20 years, including towards the end of all three Week 8 runs.
Suffice it to say that I couldn't have managed it without the encouragement and thoughtful support offered by this wonderful program. I've been telling all my friends about it, and I encourage anyone and everyone to give the program a try.
Well done on your first week 9 run. I enjoyed week 9 much more than the week 8 runs- good luck with your last 2 runs- not long til you’ll have made it!
Well done RIV Graduation Day is in sight 🏅 👀.....you sound as bad as me, I’m always telling people I work with how great C25k is, and I’m pleased to say I’ve persuaded 2 that have now graduated, I’ve got another on their final run of week 9, one on week 3 and another about to start... I should be on commission! 😂
Thank you for your post, it was particularly encouraging to me as I'm similar age and that can make us question if we 'should' be taking up running. Clearly, it is possible and you and others are proving it. I hope to confirm it on my next run too. (w9r3)
Best wishes to you - see you at the finish line! 😊
