I attempted W4R1 according to schedule, around two and a half weeks ago. On that run, I managed to inhale a fly, which scuppered the first 3 minute run. I then got the worst cramp ever in the first 5 minute run causing me to stop and walk again, and managed to misjudge a puddle and immerse my foot up to the ankle, soaking my shoe and sock for the rest of the session.
Needless to say, I felt very disheartened, and life got in the way of the next sessions, so to keep going (and to tot up the KMs for a virtual challenge I was doing at the same time) I did random run-walk segments over the next couple of weeks.
Fast-forward to this week! I had a clear week, and clear weather, to give Week 4 another shot. All three sessions were done during my lunch time, and this time I ticked them all off. Job done!
I am enjoying this so much; taking some time for myself out of the working day at home and feeling the crisp autumn air in my lungs - you can't beat it. Bring on Week 5!
