Just wondering how you’re all getting on? I’ve hit a wall. The motivation has wained. Other than that doing alright.

Are you still running? I’m struggling massively. Since going back to work (I’m a teacher) my weekly distance has plummeted and my legs feel like lead. It’s cold. It’s wet. I’m tired. I still run 3 times a week but not enjoying it at all.

Hi Maxi80,

I seem to have stalled. I strained a muscle in my calf again (other leg this time which makes a change at least). I think it’s healed now and I could probably try running again. I seem to come up with lame excuses. Atm it’s that I have a bit of a sniffly cold. Also, I don’t really know where to start when I start again. I was on week 5 but I think I’ll have to go back to week 4 as I haven’t run in 4 weeks now.

It's good to see you back. I hope you're ok and that the motivation returns at some stage but the cold mornings, wet weather and dark nights don't really help do they.

I found motivation for about 4 weeks. I was enjoying it. Then I became nihilistic and just thought what is the point! 🙈

I have not been enjoying it the same since going back to work .

Difficult to find the time and don't like getting out of a warm bed and going out in the cold

I ran Thursday for first time in 13 days and my knees hurt .

But dragged myself out today and they were ok.

Hoping now I'm in lockdown again I might get back into it.

Get out and give it another go !

I was fine last week in half term but I’m a teacher so no lockdown for me 😕 Fingers crossed you get back into it, it’s much easier without work.
