3 days off

I have 1 run left then I’ve completed couch to 5k. However, due to work commitments I’ve had to put it on hold for 3 days. Will 3 days of no running have a negative impact on my performance? Or will I still manage 30 mins of running?

It shouldn't make any difference! I just had to take 3 weeks off due to pulling a muscle in the middle of week 7 and managed to go back to doing a 25 minute run no problem (well a bit of a problem I was knackered, but managed).

You'll be absolutely fine after three days with no running. Have a good graduation run! :)

I often had 3 rest days when doing the C25k, including weeks 8 and 9 but found that it didn’t really affect my running that much. So go for it and graduate 🎓

As stated in the guide to the plan, healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running.

After that loss of condition is gradual.

All any of us can do after a lay off is to go out and see what we can comfortably manage, then build back up gently, using C25k or something similar as a guide to weekly increase.
