After running w7r1 on Sunday I felt really good. My first 25 minute run in which I covered a reasonable distance or so my Fitbit told me. Last night I did my second run and thought I’d try Strava as not used it in about 100 years!!! Well imagine my horror when after the 25 mins of running (roughly finished at the same place as first run) my Strava said I had run 340m less than my fitbit!!! I know it’s not all about distance at this stage but I really felt down after as obviously I wasn’t as far ahead as I’d hoped. Anyway I’ve now linked my Strava and fitbit so hopefully my next run will be more accurate. I am sort of a perfectionist and like to be in control but I know I have to try and ‘let go’ on this running lark and just go with the flow. Sorry just needed to get all this off my chest 😬. Have a good day peeps.

Hey Fazwaz....you went out there and did it.... fantastic achievement..YES👍👍. I can relate to how you feel re distance/time etc....I felt similar cple weeks ago after checking my distance and speed...deflated. however we're just negating all the bloody hard work we've done so far. Forget the Fitbits and Stravas...plenty of time for that in the future ...we're still in our infancy with regards to running. My running has changed completely now I'm staying focused on the here and now and just enjoying the fact that I'm out there doing the business 😁😁. Competitiveness and perfectionism will just spoil our runs. Good on yer for getting this off your chest. We all need to be honest with ourselves so we can see where we're holding ourselves back. I used to run marathons/1/2 marathons way back till my early 40's...I'm 65 now, so no way can I compare myself to that person back then...or anyone else now. Done that one too...my partner started same time as me and has been running 5k/30 mins for weeks now...I'm nowhere near that. Good on him and good on yourself and me for doing our best, improving our health and staying with a great habit👍👍. You're doing great😁😁😁👏👏👏🙋🙋
