Well I did it π W9R3 done β and I can finally call myself a proper runner ππ»ββοΈ
I started this journey 12 week ago today (including a 3 week detour to the injury couch) in the middle of a heatwave and had to run early in the morning before it got too hot! How times and the temperature has changed, I still run early in the morning but my cloak of invisibility has changed to a high vis running jacket and a head torch.
Todayβs run was a bit disappointing. I was hoping I would break the 4km mark as I was really close last run, unfortunately my body decided it was having none of it. After a slight cold a few days ago my asthma has flared up. So topped up with multiple puffs of the blue one before the run I set out at my slowest pace ever π¬. However it did the trick, I didnβt get out of breath and managed to run for 30 minutes ππ»ββοΈπ.
I am actually amazed that I have managed to finish C25K as no one was more surprised to that I had taken up running than me! When people say they havenβt run since school, I think even in school I didnβt run if I could avoid it at all (and I did). But this program has given me a sense of achievement and a love of running that I never expected. Although I donβt post often I read this forum all the time and the support and advise has got me through. You are all lovely π

Congratulations.. itβs a fantastic achievement, especially with the problems you have had.. Donβt be disappointed about speed.. just think if the benefit to your health of running at all.. and how far you have come! Iππππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈ
I hope you have got the running bug now and will go on to consolidation runs and another running challenge.. and have fun..π
Thank you, it was a bit of a struggle this morning but I did it. In all honesty if it wasnβt the last run I wouldnβt have gone out this morning, but Iβm a bit stubborn π
I have well and truly got the running bug. Luckily I got it early on otherwise I may have used being on the injury couch for 3 weeks at the beginning of week 4 a βreasonβ to stop, instead it made me more determined.
Stubborn is a good thing in this running lark I think.. an essential even! And you value things more if youβve had to try hard for them, donβt you..π
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 9 and graduating from C25K π ππΎ π

I think it was that old thing of expectation vs reality. I was feeling a bit flat about it all, but as the day has gone on Iβm appreciating more the amazing achievement Iβve done π
Well done, and such a possitive post too, i love reading peoples graduation stories, seeing how far they've come, on this running journey. I start week 9 tomorrow, and still cant believe how much i'm enjoying this, even with aches, and pains!!! π
