After working my way up from non-runner to 10km and dropping 11kg in the process earlier this year, I haven’t been running for around 6 months.
Why did I stop running? Work has been busy, but that shouldn’t be an excuse. I did have a little bit of cancer a few months ago, that knocked me more than I’d like to admit.
The result? Six months of not running, 7kg weight gain and feeling totally rubbish.
What am I going to do? Well, firstly, stop eating biscuits! Secondly, go back to the start of couch to 5K. First “run” last night and it was horrible - I’m so unfit!! However, I made it.
I need to focus and keep motivated.

Well done on finding your way back to running. It may well have been horrid doing W1R1 but you have a real psychological advantage because you’ve graduated and even got to 10k before - I bet there’ll be no stopping you 😉
