It’s been a long time since I posted on here.

After working my way up from non-runner to 10km and dropping 11kg in the process earlier this year, I haven’t been running for around 6 months.

Why did I stop running? Work has been busy, but that shouldn’t be an excuse. I did have a little bit of cancer a few months ago, that knocked me more than I’d like to admit.

The result? Six months of not running, 7kg weight gain and feeling totally rubbish.

What am I going to do? Well, firstly, stop eating biscuits! Secondly, go back to the start of couch to 5K. First “run” last night and it was horrible - I’m so unfit!! However, I made it.

I need to focus and keep motivated.

Well done on finding your way back to running. It may well have been horrid doing W1R1 but you have a real psychological advantage because you’ve graduated and even got to 10k before - I bet there’ll be no stopping you 😉

Keep us posted on your C25K progress. 😊

Welcome back!

I had a month out recently due to injury. I found that the strength remained but the stamina dropped.

I'm working through C25K again (with slight variations) to get back to the magic 30 minutes.

Best of luck in graduating again... and beyond.

You can do C25K, beat cancer and start C25K again!

If you can give up hobnobs as well then you should become a saint.
