In the spirit of trying to mix things up last week I tried a lunchtime run which I did not enjoy at all. It took me back to the early days and I struggled to run for 15 minutes. In the end, I just did a brisk walk. Not sure if it was just mental or my body couldn’t cope with the change. So waited 2 days and went out again on Saturday morning, this is definitely my time of the day, the 30 mins went by nicely.
Went out again this morning with Michael, playlist and Strava 😂.. all good, changed up the route a bit and incorporated the playing fields which made my shoes muddy and I could feel the bits of mud hitting my shins in time with my pace. When Michael said I was done, I pulled off my phone arm band to see the distance I had covered on Strava trying not to stop. For some reason, I just couldn’t swipe the screen to see the details so I had to stop running, pause Strava and continue my walk - was gutted when I saw 4.99 on the distance..so close☹️☹️☹️.
Some day soon I will have to let Michael go (but not quite ready to even though he keeps saying goodbye as I repeat the wk9 runs). Will give an evening run a go next week and see how that goes for me. Have a good week everyone 😂
