Yes
If you have been off running for more than 4 months then it's better to restart at week 1.
Probably the best thing to do. 😀
Yes Laura, I would.
Also autumn/winter running is very different so if you're outside don't be put off, it's far easier for the gremlins to come up with excuses !
It sounds more like a game of Snakes & Ladders! 😁
You start from wherever you feel able to, Laura.
To be fair you haven’t given enough information, of your age, health, fitness or lifestyle or why you haven’t run since W7 back in June - from our pov it could’ve been anything: commitments, illness, injury or motivational issues.
Whatever you decide, best of luck this time. Keep running. 🙂
Welcome to the forum.
It would be wise to start from the beginning to rebuild your resistance to injury and recondition your body to the impact of running.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
Thanks guys. Im 32, I work out twice a week at the gym with my PT. I was a first time runner and stopped running because I went onto night shifts and was too tired.
As you're generally fit, I'd suggest a warm up of one run from each of weeks 1 and 2, then continue with week 3. Your leg muscles will remember.
