I still had to run a bit uphill towards the end of the run but made it home in one piece having covered 4.3 km in the 30 mins and ankle feeling not too bad at all π
All being well I shall do R3 on Sunday.... graduation feels like a long time coming, I have every sympathy for those on the injury couch π
Good luck to everyone out there running this weekend πββοΈπ and MinnieMoo....which day are you going?... I could ride shotgun.....??????

Getting back out there and feeling good is a celebration in itself after so much uncertainty ππ
You made me π when you talked about your tech problems as on my R2 Iβd worn too much as it was cold when I started, and so had to contort into some weird shapes whilst keeping going to take off my phone armband, take my wind proof jacket off, tie it round my waist and shift my sleeves up before putting my arm band back on!
Good job only π΄ weβre watching at the time!
Great minds think alike as I was only just thinking this morning that if you were close to a R3 for graduation Iβd rather wait for you and cross the line together π... metaphorically speaking! π
If youβre aiming for Sunday so will I.
Just checked the weather forecast and itβs looking pretty good, no βοΈ but no βοΈ either and no cross π¨ to cause a problem.
Iβm also running an old railway line as itβs flat π
I run with my phone in an old money belt around my waist which is flat and not bulky which is good but not much space so I think the connection gets moved as Iβm running. I think that my hubbie might be lining up some Bluetooth wireless EarPods for me as a graduation pressie π€π
Great that we can both go tomorrow π the weather here is due to be similar and Iβll probably go mid morning, so as weβre 5 hours behind you, if youβre going in the afternoon?? we should indeed βcross the finish line togetherβ π
My ankle feels fine this morning, certainly no worse so no ill effects. Weβre off on a βfalls walkβ this afternoon as they call them out here, to enjoy the fantastic tree colours but shanβt overdo the distance.
Enjoy your Saturday π am actually feeling quite excited about tomorrow π
Thatβs great π if I leave at 10.30am and you at 3.30pm we will be running together and should cross the finish line at the same time ππ€π itβll be really lovely to have a virtual running buddy πββοΈeven though weβre 3,524 miles apart π I shall be going slow and steady and hopefully enjoying it π€π
Will be prepping some special tunes later, they all have to be upbeat ones or Iβll be weeping my way round π€£
Good luck for tomorrow π weβve totally got this πͺππββοΈ
(P.S. Thought Iβd already replied to you but no idea where itβs gone π so sorry if you get this twice!!... maybe I didnβt hit reply! π€·ββοΈ)
Yup, thought Iβd get some special tunes going as well π the ones that have really helped me round so far π
I too will go slow and steady so that I can savour the moment! This isnβt about speed today but just being amazed if I flipping well achieve running for 30 minutes non stop. Who would have thought it when we started!
Itβs really special to have a πββοΈ buddy, albeit virtual, for this run so thank you π
Well done CazzaW !! Great achievement. You're nearly there! I also have the same fun tech issues with the connection from my earbuds to phone and have become quite adept at jogging whilst reconnecting Spotify. Multitasking at its best! π
Canβt wait Lottie (canβt believe Iβm actually saying that π and whatβs more, looking forward to it π) and ankle feels ok this morning too π
Brilliant Cazza, so glad to hear youβre back out there! πͺπΌ
Well done keeping going whilst battling tech issues. Itβs amazing how much more you become adept to dealing with them over time. During W2 that might have floored you βΊοΈ
Iβm good thanks, yes just completed wk7 run 2 π Was a little tougher than week 1 but I put it down to the takeaway and drinks we had on Friday night! Itβs getting chilly now, not sure what to wear on these runs, hopping online right now to see what I can purchase.
Oh lovely, you will have a fab time. I am yet to explore the waterfalls of Hamilton. Hubs doesnβt seem interested lol send over some recommendations once you have visited π
π yes sadly food and drink definitely seems to play a part, Iβve been trying to be really good the night before a run... but have failed this evening and had 2 (small!) π·π¬ But, Iβve never drunk so much water in my life so thatβs good π
Hopefully youβll find R3 easier, then after that itβs a very gradual increase.
Iβm going to need some long leggings now too and warmer tops so if you find anything good do let me know π
