Messed up w5r2, what next?

So yesterday I was feeling good at the prospect of 2x 8 minute runs and as Laura told me to start running I thought it would be interesting to track my pace & distance so started the ‘track my run’ app as well.

I run around the local park/ football pitches so have an idea of how long each lap takes, but was surprised Laura hadn’t told me how long I had left, so I looked at the app and I’d run 9 minutes (so probably 10 in total) but c25k had paused...

Restarted c25k but decided as I felt good I’d carry on an aim for 10 laps and see where that got me time wise. In the end I carried on and finished 11 1/2 laps in a time of 26 minutes nonstop!!!!

So whilst impressed with myself (I could barely manage a 1/2 lap just 3 weeks ago), where should I go from here? Continue w5r3 tomorrow or stick on 25 minute runs (week 7) and miss week 6 entirely as I now know I’m capable of more?

Genuine question. I’m male, 55, asthmatic and overweight. Not run in nearly 40 years so amazed at progress on this incredible journey.

Thanks for your help 👍

Take an extra rest day now for being naughty. Keep with the plan and do W5R3 next. Skipping ahead risks injury.

I wouldn't skip week 6 at all, I think it's a pivotal moment of the entire programme as you're being asked to go back to intervals after what was a solid 20 minute run and therefore it's a challenge (believe it or not)

Good job on the 26 minutes though, as least you know you can do.
