Had a trying day, I have an emotionally demanding job within the NHS, was 2hrs late leaving, got home to an emotionally draining house (my husband has just been made redundant!). Couldn’t get out for my run until 8.30, in the dark and drizzle! But it was amazing, felt strong and in control gave me a chance to completely clear my head, ran the same route as the other day which helped as I didn’t have to give it any thought. With 5 minutes to go I upped the pace and felt I could have gone on longer. Came home in a much better frame of mind able to deal with the depressed husband and over tired child who was still up. I can honestly say that whatever good taking up running may be doing for my physical health is has improved my mental health tenfold.🥳🤩🤪😃😄

Good run for you but sorry about your husband having just been made redundant, unfortunately that is going to become more often in the next few months with many other people, for you onwards and upwards to run 3 of week 7, not long now until you graduate 😁 🏃🏾 I just hope that your husband will find another job soon.

Yes there will be lots of people in the same boat. We still have a lot to be grateful for and as you say onward and upwards 🤞

Pooped, I really felt your post, I couldn’t agree with you more on the mental health side of things.

So sorry to hear about your husband’s job but I’m glad you’ve got the release of running to clear your head. Keep going 👊🏼

Really well done for getting out there and glad it helped you to feel better 😊 Sorry to hear about your husband’s job and hope things improve on that front soon. Good luck with the running, it sounds as though you’re doing very well 💪

First of all, thank you for what you are doing 💐

I'm completely with you on how getting out and running is good for mental well-being. I was a non runner all my life, and it was a revelation when I began c25k. It's also the only thing that will prise me out of my warm house on a wet and windy morning! (When I'm not on the IC, but that's another story!)

Sending best wishes to you and to Mr pooped, that's really tough. Hope your running continues to get you through 💪
