So 2 weeks since my running injury during consolidation phase and still hobbling badly and in pain- so called docs and being sent for X-ray now.
My mental health has really suffered without running- well without being able to get out! So my darling husband has bought me an exercise bike to get those positive endorphins back!
So new plan is to cycle 30mins on my “run days” and keep a pace that has my heart rate in the same zone as when I run- which is the “exhausting-bright red face zone!”
Sound like a good plan? Should I be doing anything else? Maybe some strength training (that doesn’t require my right leg 🦵 to take my weight!).

Now that's what I call a darling husband, what a gem! Yes to strength training, I've been injured for months and I'd go crackers without some kind of training (no exercise bike for me, I broke my ankle!)
There is a lot of stuff online to try. Yoga with Adrienne is really popular (I haven't tried it myself yet, but loads of people love her). Caroline Jordan does workouts with injured foot - she's American and very jolly!
I'm doing chair based Pilates. In the early days, I did wheelchair workouts with Ella Beaumont, but since you're already on the exercise bike, you won't need that.
There are also links to exercises from this site. (Can't do links from my phone sorry, got sausage fingers).
So, just have a look on YouTube and give things a go, and if it doesn't suit you, try something else - sometimes it's down to the personality. Hope you get some positive news soon 🤞🍀
