All week I had been unable to complete run 3, having to slow to a walk halfway through and couldn't work out why. This morning, I set out for my first ever run in the wind and rain with much trepidation. I started off sooo slowly, continuing at the same pace right up until Jo suggested a sprint in the final minute which I did. Can't believe it - I can run for 25 minutes!! Maybe it was the thought of returning home like a drowned rat having failed again that spurred me on, but I think I had been trying to go too fast previously. So happy!!

Week 6 Run 3
You certainly are not a failure LynneG29, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, onwards and upwards to week 7 🏃🏾 😊
Congratulations 😁👍
And I think you may have just hit the nail right on the head 'SPEED'
Well done.
This is about duration not pace, so you had exactly the correct approach.
Keep running, keep smiling.
Well done on your run! That was me too on Friday doing the same run. It’s amazing when you realise “wow, I ran 25mins in one go!!!” You did well to get out in this awful weather today and get it done. And of course, we are now officially runners 😀 Week 7 here we come!
Well done on completing week 6! Especially in those conditions 👍🏻
Bring on week 7 💪🏻
It’s not failing, this forum has taught me that no run is a fail. Congratulate yourself in the fact that you had the determination to go out and complete week 6.
Happy running in W7 😀🏃♀️
