I knew if I didn't go this morning before work I was looking at a wet and very windy run this afternoon so I put the jacket on over my long sleeve running top and my long leggings and off we went. Dido is very good at doing her business during the warm up so that was no problem but disposing of the bag in the first couple of minutes was. I dropped my phone (could have been worse, not in the pooh bin) and when I retrieved it and looked at the app Sarah was saying "Well done you've done 5 mins ". I had only done about 2mins I'm sure. What to do now? Just keep going..... So I completed W5R3 but I don't think I ran for 20 mins, maybe 18? I ran about another minute at the end, then warmed down. I feel a fraud, sure I didn't go the time. Distance wise it was longer than Weds run, but not that much.
Onwards I suppose, W6R1 on Sunday.
Anybody else find that after running some aches disappear?

Blondefox you have nothing to feel bad about it’s Dido that’s at fault, she should feel disgraced 🤨
😁 Seriously even running for 18mins in one go without a break is amazing and you should be proud of yourself, if it’s any help I’m proud of you and I bet your family is too 👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you for asking, they are feeling ok at the moment, in fact after my W5R3 I’m surprisingly spry, how are your legs after feeling now after a day at work?
Half day on Fridays 😁. They feel fine. And my aching hip, that often appears overnight disappeared after the run this morning, hence the question at the end of my post. Possibly hamstrings might tighten up overnight as I try and stagger out of bed tomorrow morning.
Lucky you having a half day on Fridays, such is the life of a college lecturer I suppose.
I’ve not experienced pain going whilst on a run myself but I know that Burkey46 posted a similar experience a few weeks ago (she and I started this at the same time but now she is about to start W9 on Monday.
Yes it could be a Hamstring problem, maybe you need to do some hamstring stretches after you’ve staggered out of bed.
