There’s always that feeling of β€˜was it a fluke ?’ But no , I went out ran for 25 mins again πŸ‘

Within that 25 minutes there were short periods where everything seemed to β€˜align β€˜ or flow smoothly and then I was back to gosh this is hard !

I couldn’t quite grasp and hold onto those β€˜good bits’ but perhaps that’s the prize ?

I know that I am managing each run ok so maybe it’s about the practising and then as my stamina grows and I continue to learn from each run then the good bits won’t be so transient ? ........ and maybe I’m overthinking in my current β€˜glow’ of completing Wk7 R1 πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I changed my route , as much as I like it and it’s perfect for practising, I do want to keep things β€˜fresh’.

Changed the playlist too but think I had too many 3 minute songs and I began to think β€˜how many more to go β€˜ πŸ₯΅. I think I’m better with a couple of longer tracks at the beginning to sort of launch me in to the 10/12 minute mark πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

What did I say about overthinking πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ But actually it does help .

Very random and nostalgic

5min walk Sultans of Swing -Dire Straits

Run

You’re so vain - Carly Simon

Mockingbird- Carly Simon & James Taylor

Young Gilrl - Gary Puckett & the Union Gap

Build me up Buttercup - The Foundations

( these two I heard from my pram , I’m sure !, πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰)

Under the Boardwalk- The Drifters

9-5 - Dolly Parton

Mrs Robinson- Simon & Garfunkel

5 min walk - Lyin’ Eyes - The Eagles

Distracting but too many πŸ˜‚πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

All in all feeling good πŸ‘Œ

You've got me interested now - what songs were playing when you thought "this is hard"? This could reveal the workings of your inner mindπŸ€”πŸ’πŸ›‹οΈπŸ”

I think the first few minutes are always a shock to me but I could tell I was coming out of that and it felt like I was just jogging along .

Things Got fragmented a bit after β€˜Young girl’ and I think it was because I had too many short tracks at different tempos and I wasn’t entirely invested in them .

Also I think I’m in danger of substituting song timings and how many minutes left etc for clock watching .

For my next run I am just going to go out and jog and listen to a favourite album On shuffle and enjoy the fact that I know I am able to run for this length of time and get on with it πŸ˜‚

Free from any thinking except I’ll set A 25minute timer so I know when to stop

When I checked after I got home I saw that My pace went to pot too after my third song , up until then I was nice and steady πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

I never got the hang of running to music, because it messed up my running rhythm. I generally have songs in my head most of the time though! Good luck with the next run 😊🎢

Interesting , maybe the music ( and /or choices) are preventing me acquiring that illusive rhythm that was there in patches πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ™‚

Could be - it's worth experimenting with anyway!

Well done!

I know what you mean about β€˜good bits,’ I couldn’t fully get in the zone this morning. A top prize indeed..

I like to think I take something away from each run too. I’m very impatient but remind myself I’m still practising to become a runner. (Which makes all feelings valid!) Totally agree with you on the stamina. We’ve put our faith in the programme so far and it’s working for us so I’m sure our strength will increase over time and those good bits will get longer 😊

Lovely pic. Hedgerows bursting here too. Can’t wait to make crumble. Can you imagine how many more berries you could collect now you can run along the bushes? πŸ˜œπŸ˜‹

I think you’re right , our brain and our bodies are learning and improving with each run . Stretching the good bits and getting better.

I’m going to just play a favourite album on shuffle next run and just jog !

No thinking.

The thought of β€˜getting better’ is really quite exciting . πŸ˜‚

It really is..! I think any self-improvement is good for the soul πŸ₯°

Even on the off-days I want to get my next β€˜high’ so still look forward to the next run! ✨ I sure hope that feeling sticks around!

I'm right with you with the overthinking lol. I've just downloaded some early 2000s dance songs to mix my playlist up and drown the nagging thoughts out haha.

I think you might be right about the next few runs in terms of building up stamina and connecting the smoother parts (fingers crossed). Well done with kicking off week 7 with a completed run πŸ™‚

I’m going to just run next time , album on shuffle , 25 minutes on timer , no thinking !πŸ˜‚

Just wasn’t the right tracks today , one too many and tempo all wrong πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

We are all progressing though πŸ‘Œ good luck with your next run too πŸ‘

Thank you, hopefully it'll go OK. Strangely nervous but I've done 25 mins once, I'm determined to do it again. I always put loads of songs in my playlist and then press shuffle. It's like a small surprise each time a song starts even though I know what's on it haha

I know I get nervous in case for some reason I don’t do it . I’ve read posts of people who for some reason came to halt and couldn’t finish the run πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

I just think oh no ! I want to keep doing this πŸ™

It’s funny because I’m being so careful not to overdo things , Follow the plan, I’m drinking gallons of water just to make sure nothing goes wrong πŸ˜‚πŸ€ž
